Nathan Achieves QAIC_________________________________________________________________________________

ISCFS Nathan Cooper of 2117 (Kenfig Hill)  Squadron RAF Air Cadets passed The Qualified Aerospace Instructors Course (QAIC) with flying colours.

The course involves a programme of aerospace related activities for senior cadets.  Selection was in two stages with the first being a paper assessment followed by a selection weekend at MoD Boscombe Down.  Nathan was one of the few selected to go forward for the course.

The course took place over a series of weekends from September 2012 to March 2013 culminating in a week long graduation camp at RAF Linton-on-Ouse where the knowledge from the training weekends was put into practice.

On completion of the course workbook Nathan was also awarded Level 2 ILM Certificate in Team Working.

Not only did Nathan complete and pass the course receiving his coveted blue lanyard and certificate confirming him as a Qualified Aerospace Instructor (QAI) he was also presented with a trophy for Best Leadership Student at MoD Boscombe Down QAIC No.5 2013.

The successful completion of the course means that Nathan is qualified to run and instruct in the Regional Activity Centre and on the Air Cadet Community Engagement Platforms.
