Cadets and Staff from Kenfig Hill, Porthcawl, Pencoed, Bridgend and Cowbridge Squadrons ATC were out on the streets and in shop doorways last September collecting for RAFA Wings Appeal.  This is an annual collection carried out by RAFA and the five Squadrons having been adopted by RAFA Porthcawl are always willing to help raise funds.

As a way of thanking the cadets Porthcawl RAFA club held a presentation night for the cadets at which the highest collector from each Squadron was presented with an individual trophy.  The Squadron who collected the most were awarded the Ken Maund Cup.  This year 2117 (Kenfig Hill) Squadron were presented with the Cup by Flt Lt Andrew Maund RAFVR (T) (retd), Wing Executive Committee Chairman No.3 WW, Cdt O’Neil accepted the Cup on behalf of the Squadron.

After the presentation the cadets were treated to hot dogs and enjoyed a disco, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everybody there.
