Number 3 Welsh Wing Nijmegen 2010 - RAF Cosford 2 Day Marches

Overview - RAF Cosford WARMA____________________________________________________________

A bright and summery afternoon emerged from a cold a crisp morning for the departure to RAF Cosford on the 23rd April for the RAF 2 Day WARMA Marches. The marches held at RAF Cosford consist of 80 Kilometres over two days (42km Sat, 38km Sun), which after completing qualifies each member of the Number 3 Welsh Wing team to be able to attend the 94th International Nijmegen Marches in Holland
The first pick up on the afternoon of the 23rd April was at Haverfordwest Squadron at 12:30 which then went on to Whitland, Carmarthen, Neath and finally Sarn service station.  Once all of the cadets were seated on the bus and admin was collected many of the cadets that were endeavouring in this activity for the first time began to wonder what the weekend was going to be like and what RAF Cosford has in store for them.  Many could not believe the times that the reveille would be at and others were anxious about getting blisters.
