3rd April Update______________________________________________________________________________ |
 |
This is my last update before post Easter annual leave
and it’s slightly shorter than usual as it was a short
week. That said, this job always manages to squeeze lots
into the diary so there's always something to say.
The week was dominated by my attendance at the No 5
Qualified Aerospace Instructors Course Graduation. This
took place at RAF Linton-on-Ouse and brought together
staff and students
from across the Corps, with one course running at
Boscombe Down, the other at Linton, and culminating in
the two coming together for the final week.
I attended the last 2 formal presentations - one on Air
Power in Op Herrick and the other on Flight Simulation.
I was genuinely amazed by the quality of the
presentations and congratulate all staff and cadets on a
significant achievement. This course is extremely
challenging and requires real commitment and dedication.
The Graduation dinner at RAF Linton-on-Ouse Officers'
Mess was a wonderful way to mark the graduates' success
and we were privileged
to have AVM Brecht, Chief of Staff Capability, as our
Guest of Honour.
I will be watching out for the blue lanyards as I travel
around the Corps and I encourage all of you aviation and
aerospace fans to seriously consider applying for this
course if you get the chance.
I hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
