Cadets Pay A Flying Visit To BA Interiors

2117 Visit BA Interiors________________________________________________________________________________
Cdt Cpl Aston presenting a plaque to staff and BA Interiors

With the kind permission of Sarah Baker and her team cadets and staff from 2117 Squadron Kenfig Hill visited British Airways Interiors Blackwood.

On arrival at BA Interiors we were welcomed by Mr Paul Bradbury and shown to one of their presentation rooms where the cadets and staff were treated to a short presentation on BA Interiors and the role they play within British Airways.

The staff and cadets were then introduced to three BA ambassadors; Steve Jones, Ian Tancock and Suzanne Harris who gave them a guided tour which included seating for economy and first class, emergency evacuation slide which Cdt Cpl Aston was given permission to activate as a demonstration, unfortunately due to health and safety issues she was not allowed to have a go on the slide.  The cadets were also given a chance to try on life jackets and activate those as they were nearing their expiry date, so no wastage.

After the tour Cdt Cpl Aston presented a Squadron plaque to BA Interiors, see photo.

Sgt (ATC) Kevin Gould who organised the visit would like to thank all at British Airways Interiors as without their kind generosity staff and cadets would not have had such an opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes at one of the Uks leading airlines.
