In Memory of SGT Christine Taylor ATC - 621 Squadron Squadron

Sergeant Christine Taylor_____________________
It is with great sadness that 621 Squadron have to announce the passing of SGT Christine Taylor ATC, who passed away on the 8th March 2012.
Christine joined 621 Sqn in 2006 as a Civilian Instructor and attended numerous camps as well as organising numerous events that the Squadron have taken part in over the years. A keen and inspirational member to the team, she decided to make the transition into uniformed staff and became a Sergeant in 2007.
Due to Christine's health, she decided to step down from her unifomed role but still kept as active as she could with the Squadron by joining the Civilian Committee as the Chairman.
Christine was an asset to 621 Squadron, helping in numerous activities such as the Carmarthen Civic Parade, Carnival Day Parades, as well as liaising with the local community to ensure the Squadron was a key element within Carmarthen.
She also organised the Youth Park Festival through Carmarthen, which involved all of the youth organisations within the town and local area. She also organised the Squadron dining in evening in 2009 which had not been done in years. Most importantly, she helped "kick-start" the band on the Squadron and raised money to buy brand new equipment. She was keen to ensure that the cadets had their chances and made sure they got the benefit and fun factor out of everything that they achieved.  She was also a key part of organising fund raising for the Squadron as well as charitable fund raising.
The passing of SGT Taylor is a huge loss to 621 Squadron but also to Number 3 Welsh Wing and the Corps. SGT Taylor epitomised the ethos of the organization and always brought a warm and bubbly atmosphere to the Squadron.
The thoughts of all members of 621 Squadron and the Wing are with the family of SGT Christine Taylor at this sad time.

The funeral of SGT Christine Taylor will be held at The Chapel of Rest, Llangunnor Road, Carmarthen, SA31 2PG at 10:00am on the 19th March

Refreshments will be at The Ivy Bush Hotel SA31 1LG
