2347 (Porthcawl) Squadron Rallies Support For Fun Day

Fun Day_______________________________________________________________________________

2347 (Porthcawl) Squadron lead the way on the Jubilee weekend with a fun day at Porthcawl rugby grounds. The event was helped by cadets from 2426 (Pencoed) Squadron and 2117 (Kenfig Hill) Squadron.

The cadets started the day by setting up several different displays in the 10 foot tent provided by the even organizers. These displays included leaflets and magazines, radio equipment, first aid equipment, a laptop with recruitment media on it and camping equipment which SCWO Kris Marke used while doing the Njimegen March in 2011.

2426 Squadron, who attended the event in their DPMs, provided a CPR demonstration to the watching civilians while cadets from both 2347 & 2117 handed out both leaflets and publications of "Air Cadet" to help recruit new cadets to join 2347 squadron. Thankfully the weather stayed fine for the day. The day was documented by CI Omar Kahn (2426 Squadron) who took the photos on the day.
