Cades Collect for RAFA

2117 Squadron Collecting For RAFA__________________________________________________________________

Cadets from 2117 (Kenfig Hill) Royal Air Cadets attended a door collection at Tesco's Port Talbot in aid of the Royal Air Force Wings appeal. The cadets from Kenfig Hill have been involved in collecting for RAFA for many years.  You will normally see them out on the Annual Wings Appeal weekend in September but this year they are stepping up their collections by doing a few during the year, so if you see them please donate to this worthwhile cause.

The RAF Association does not receive any Government aid and relies solely on contributions from the public.  The RAF Association provides aid welfare support to its members; this ranges from providing home visits and respite care breaks, to offering advice and, in some circumstances, financial assistance in times of difficulty.

The Royal Air Force Family includes all serving and ex-serving personnel and their dependants. To be eligible for welfare support, for both themselves and those who depend upon them, service personnel need to have served a minimum of one day in the RAF.

The total raised was 1,142.96.
