Air Cadets Get Wet And Its Not Even Raining

2117, 293 & 2426 Visit St. Athan Fire Section_____  ___  ___  ___  ___  ___  ___  ___  ___  ___  ___  ___

Air cadets from 2117 (Kenfig Hill), 293 (Cowbridge), 2426 (Pencoed & District) Squadrons ATC got a bit wet under the collar and everywhere else on their recent visit to the fire section at St Athan.

The cadets had great fun trying out several pieces of equipment including hoses which accounts for their bedraggled state. Divided into two teams the race was on. Although cold everyone, including the staff thoroughly enjoyed the day.  The cadets made sure the staff were not left out, and they ended up just as wet.

The visit although enjoyable, and let’s face it who doesn’t want to look around a fire engine, also had a serious side as it forms a part of the cadet’s syllabus covering Health and Safety.

Sgt Kevin Gould from Kenfig Hill Squadron who arranged the visit would like to thank Julian Smith for giving his time and making the day a success.
